Senior Statisticians are intended to participate in all the tasks assigned to statisticians. They are collectors, designers, analysts and disseminators of statistical production. Their training lasts two academic years and includes theoretical courses, tutorials and practical work in the field, as part of internships in companies or in public, parastatal or international institutions.

Admission Conditions - mathematics option

  • 1. Be enrolled in a Special Mathematics class

  • 2. Be enrolled in a Mathematics Bachelor's degree class

  • 3. Be 26 years old on January 1st of the year of the examination

Admission Conditions - economics option

  • 1. Be enrolled in a Master's degree class in economics or management

  • 2. To be a holder of the Assistant Statistical Officer (AD) diploma

  • 3. Be 24 years old on January 1st of the year of the examination

Job opportunities

Senior Statisticians (ITS) are trained in the collection, analysis and dissemination of statistical information. They are called upon to serve in the national statistical or planning services, in other administrative services, in public, parastatal or private organisations (non-financial organisations, banks, insurance, investment companies, research companies, etc.) in their countries. They have the opportunity to pursue their careers in the statistical and economic services in international organizations.
