Within the framework of the “OPEN DATA PORTAL” competition organized by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) with the support of the African Development Bank (ADB) on the occasion of the African Day of Statistics, three students from ENSEA have distinguished themselves by winning the first three prizes of the competition.

The award ceremony was held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in the INS conference room.
This competition aims to promote statistics in the socio-cultural field, but also in the education field in Côte d’Ivoire.

The first prize, consisting of an envelope of one hundred thousand (100,000) CFA francs and a smartphone worth one hundred thousand (100,000) CFA francs, was awarded to Mr. IDOHOU Kwakou Aristide Jonathan, a second year-student in the Engineering in Statistics (ITS) program. As for the second and third prize winners (Mr CHOHO Yann Eric and Mr AGONNOUDE Soayi Sonagnon Tom), they respectively received the sum of 50,000 CFA francs and a smartphone worth 50,000 CFA francs.

It should be noted that this beautiful award ceremony for the “OPEN DATA PORTAL” competition  was marked by the presence of Mr. Christian TAPE, Deputy Director General in charge of Statistical Production at the National Institute of Statistics of Côte d’Ivoire.

It should be recalled that ENSEA of Abidjan has been distinguished as a Centre of Excellence in Africa for statistics and economic modelling and continues to shine through the excellent performance of its graduates and students.
