The Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée (ENSEA, Abidjan), an African Centre of Excellence, in collaboration with the Abdul Latif Jameel Laboratory for Action against Poverty (J-PAL), which has specialised in impact evaluation for the past twenty years, formally opened the second promotion of its Public Policy Evaluation course on Wednesday 15 May 2024 in ENSEA’s Amphi 1.
Following the selection phase on 19 April, 34 civil servants, including 08 women, will benefit from this training in public policy evaluation.
To close the series of speeches, Dr Rosine BOMISSO, representative of Ms Nialé KABA, Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Development, expressed her delight at the support of development partners, in particular the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), in financing and implementing this project.
“This is a training opportunity to benefit from teaching by internationally recognised researchers and professionals in the field of public policy evaluation,” she told the audience. This certificate aims to train civil servants and public officials in the key concepts of rigorous impact evaluation, while at the same time instilling a culture of evidence in the design and implementation of development policies.
