The Network of African Schools of Statistics (RESA) composed of the Sub-Regional Institut Sous-régional de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée (ISSEA), Yaoundé-Cameroun, the Ecole Nationale de la statistique et de l’Analyse Economique (ENSAE), Dakar-Sénégal and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée (ENSEA), Abidjan-Côte d’Ivoire have signed a cooperation agreement since September 27, 2016, in order to develop and organize some common activities.

RESA’s activities cover the following areas in particular:

  • Coordination of ESA activities;
  • Development of harmonised training programmes;
  • Development of research activities on training-related themes;
  • Organisation of joint recruitment examinations for the Engineering in Statistics and Economics (ISE) and Statistics Analyst (AS) training courses;
  • Exchange of lecturers and students;
  • Pooling of resources (documentation, management tools, etc.);
  • Production of teaching materials (course materials, case studies, teaching games, etc.);
  • Organisation of seminars or workshops on technical or institutional issues related to statistical training;
  • Organisation of refresher courses for ESA teachers;
