On Wednesday 20 September in Dakar, a team of three PhD students from ENSEA won first prize in a competition organised by the African Statistical Schools Network (RESA) and the WAEMU Commission, entitled <.
Each group of three (03) students enrolled in the three RESA schools was required to submit a study report on a subject related to the general theme.
A pre-selection stage was used to select one group per school. The three shortlisted groups from the three schools presented their work on Wednesday 20 September 2023 in Dakar to a panel of teachers. After deliberation, the three groups received their prizes according to their ranking.

The competition aimed to:
- produce high-quality thematic studies on poverty and its consequences ;
- contribute to the use of data from poverty monitoring surveys;
- promote excellence in scientific research within RESA schools.
